
Diane Grubbe
Diane Grubbe has appeared as a solo flutist with orchestras in the US and Europe including the San Francisco Concerto Orchestra, Calabasas Chamber Orchestra in Southern California, with whom she recorded the Vivaldi Piccolo Concerto for their CD "The Baroque Concerto." As an orchestra flutist, Ms. Grubbe freelances in the San Francisco Bay Area, performing with regional orchestras and opera companies including Pocket Opera, Napa Valley Symphony, Golden Gate Opera, Vallejo Symphony, Lamplighters, Lyric Opera, and Festival Opera. She has been a frequent guest performer with the contemporary music ensemble sfSound Group. As a member of Quinteto Latino, she performs in the San Francisco Symphony's "Adventures in Music" program.
Ms. Grubbe is a graduate of San Francisco State University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Her instructors have included Paul Renzi, Lloyd Gowen and Tim Day of the San Francisco Symphony. She has performed in master classes with Julius Baker, Heinz Holliger, Robert Dick and Robert Stallman.
Diane often performs for weddings and events as a solo flutist and also in collaboration with other Bay Area musicians.
