Living as a part-time gypsy, Caitlin Moe has been changing the string scene with two violins tied to her back. Moe began playing violin at the age of four, but was later criticized for being too animated and too interpretive with her classical selections, which soon led her to discover songwriting and the infusion of strings with other genres.
Off from a west coast tour with multi-plantinum selling arena rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra as their featured electric violinist, Moe has currently been touring with DJ Mia Moretti, exploding out of the ordinary classical violin and electrifying audiences in hotspots across the country, including New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Las Vegas and the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. Moe & Moretti have become a fixture at events such as the Lollapalooza “Rock the Vote” official after-party, Perez Hilton showcase at SXSW, Sundance & Gen Art film festivals, Deepak Chopra center in San Diego, and fashion events for Alice + Olivia, Richie Rich, DKNY, and Diesel.
"Someone to la-la-love" (one of the songs on Moe's EP, currently available on iTunes) was featured as the theme song for the Gen Art 2010 Film Festival. Moe was also recently selected as one of "Blue" microphone's featured artists; and has been working closely with Talenthouse on one of her upcoming projects.
